Free Chess Tournaments this Friday and next in Ryde. Starts 6pm

On Friday 8th December and also Friday 15th December we will be hosting casual mini swiss tournaments at our usual Yelf's Hotel Friday evening session.

This will be a great chance to practice for the more formal Ryde Rapid Cup, taking place on Saturday 20th Jan. More info and limited tickets available here.

Before that!

We invite you to practice playing Rapid tournaments on the Friday evening sessions. We now have great software to manage the swiss and would like to practice using it.

No prizes or pressure, just playing for fun and it's not rated. You can drop out after the start and we can add you in if late. Casual play 5pm to 6pm if you want just that.

The format will be 10 min + 2 seconds increment and we will play 3 to 5 rounds depending on how we are doing for time. We should be finished be 8.30pm / 9pm.
