Shanklin Chess Club is holding its Summer Chess Tournament on Saturday 1st June

Another chance to play chess in June. Shanklin are holding their summer tournament which raises funds for the 50 plus centre. It's a great casual environment and a perfect introduction to chess tournaments.

Entrance Fee £10 - includes a 2-course lunch

Restricted Entry to 24 players. Doors open at 9.00am for a 10.00am start

10.00 am - Round 1: Classical Chess - Relaxed rules without clocks   "All play All" 

4 tables of 6 players per table gives 5 games of  25 mins for each player.

Only the highest scores from each table enter the next round.

Round 3: Classical Chess - Finals. In the event of a drawn first game, players continue to the best of 3 games.
